Who we are:
A mix of climbers, firefighters, police officers, former military, future military, and fitness freaks who looked at each other one day and thought there had to be a way to get stronger that was fun, functional, and dynamic. We weren’t looking for anything easy, but we wanted something different, something always evolving, something outside the normal routine.
What we want:
We want to be fit. We want to be strong. We want to distance ourselves from the aches and pains of getting older and being out of shape. We want to be at our best all of the time. We want to be able to climb hard, play ball, run with our kids, jump, swim, throw, catch, and live life at an elite level.
We believe that the training at CrossFit North Arlington will equip us with the fitness level necessary to achieve all of this and so much more. Our fitness is achieved through all elements, using traditional implements in non-traditional ways. We take our training seriously, focusing on not one single aspect, but all aspects and facets of strengthening and conditioning.
How we do it:
Functional movement…using our bodies or using our tools of the trade. Jumping, squatting, climbing, pulling, pushing, flipping, lifting, throwing, bouncing, running and anything else we can think of. We want our bodies to be strong, fit, and ready to handle whatever we decide we want to do at the moment. Every day is different. So is every workout. We want to be prepared for anything. All of our workouts are programmed with one goal in mind – to make us better.
Why we do it:
It doesn’t take much to look around and see the health and condition of our nation deteriorating. Our society is geared to doing things the easy way, from food, to transportation, to sports. We weren’t designed to be this way. Read any health or fitness magazine, any newspaper, or do a simple Google search – articles about the overall health of Americans abound. Throw in the rising cost of health care, mainly due to largely preventable diseases, and we recognize…something has to change. Our outlook on food, health, exercise, fitness, and our own well-being has to change. More importantly, we recognize that individual control of one’s health MUST be taken. We are using CrossFit North Arlington to take that control, and to teach others to do the same.
We are meant to jump and move and run and exert ourselves. We see our children more digitally connected and sedentary than we ever dreamed possible, and we want to set the example for them. We want our children, our peers, and people we encounter to know that it IS possible to be a corporate executive, a stay at home mom, a lawyer…anything…and be fit and healthy and strong.
We want you to be a part of it.

Things you should know -
CrossFit is constantly varied functional movement performed at a high intensity. It doesn’t make you better at one thing, it makes you better at everything. You’ll get from it what you put into it. Our group is a tight knit, positive, encouraging one, and we love having new athletes join us. Whether you’re in the best shape of your life, or just wanting to get back on track, or even just starting out, CrossFit has something for you.
