Get your hips into it…

Lately we’ve been doing a LOT of lifts.
What’s not so ‘yay’ is the number of people completely missing the hip drive. This is not okay. Not yay at all.

Missing your hip drive means you’re missing all of your power and you have to compensate by pulling with your arms. Take a look at your ass. Then take a look at your arms. Which set of muscles is going to move more weight? Yeah. That’s right. So get your ass into it. Make the pull with your arms after your hips are completely open. If your hips aren’t open you shouldn’t be pulling with your arms. It’s that simple. Use your ass, pull more weight.
